This engrossing and very well written hour of TV could easily have been entitled "Endings and Beginnings". Criminal Minds Season 10 Episode 13 started off with an emotional horror: the discovery of Gideon's murdered body. Poor Reid – who apparently was the closest to him – took it quite hard. It took Morgan to provide the three words that allowed him to begin to crawl out of the pit of his loss: we need you. There were so many gems packed into 60 minutes that it's hard to highlight which one shone the brightest. Hotch telling the story he'd heard from Gideon about a snowstorm, a sled and…

SYDNEY, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Australian author Colleen McCullough, whose 1977 best-selling novel The Thorn Birds became a smash hit television miniseries, has died at the age of 77. McCullough turned to writing after working for more than a decade as a neuroscientist in Australia, Britain and the United States and scored almost immediate success with The Thorn Birds, a family drama set on a sheep station in the Australian outback. The paperback rights for The Thorn Birds sold for a then record $1.9 million and was made into one of the most watched miniseries of all time, starring Richard…

He admitted to not even liking the winning song "Home" handed to him all that much but ultimately, he grew to be OK with it because it became a massive hit.

  • The 100 Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Survival of the Fittest

    Amanda Festa
    28 Jan 2015 | 9:49 pm
Tonight on The 100, Bellamy and Lincoln attempt to take Mount Weather by storm. Sorry, I had to get that out of my system. The title of The 100 Season 2 Episode 10 is "Survival of the Fittest" – an evolutionary theory that only those who possess the qualities most beneficial to survival will last. That's natural selection for you, folks. Science was never my best subject, but I think it's safe to say that being intolerant of radiation on a radiation-soaked planet is drawing the evolutionary short straw.  That said, there are plenty of other qualities in this post-apocalyptic world that…

    Christine Orlando
    28 Jan 2015 | 8:17 pm
Loyalty and trust were the key elements in The Mentalist Season 7 Episode 9 as Abbot's future was on the line. However it didn't take much prodding, if any for the rest of the team to risk their careers in order to help him. How determined must Bill Peterson have been to take down Dennis Abbott to have actually gone down to Mexico, dug up a corpse and pulled a bullet from its skull? That's a man with a serious need for revenge.  Patrick Jane was the first on board to help Abbott and take down Peterson. As Abbott told his wife, Jane's a friend and he'd trust him with his life. That makes…

Is it hot in here or is it just me? The fireworks between Lucious and Cookie were off the chart on Empire Season 1 Episode 4 and I can't be the only one who was feeling it.  While I struggle with Lucious as a whole, his interactions with Cookie tonight were so genuine that I almost forgot about all the terrible things he's done so far. Almost.  Aside from the great Lucious/Cookie scenes, there was plenty to like this week, as this show just keeps churning out great episode after great episode. It's seriously one of the most entertaining shows out there.  The main goal for Lucious right…

Revenge is a messy path, only made more complicated when the people you exact it on are people you once cared about deeply This was a lesson Louis Litt learned the hard way in Suits Season 4 Episode 11. Suits Photos from "Enough is Enough" 1. Bear Hug - Suits Season 4 Episode 11 Jessica and Jeff are in a tight squeeze on "Enough is Enough." See, while Louis was more than willing to dish out retribution to those he felt wronged him – and probably did so the most to the people who deserved it least – he forgot something Jessica never did – that Louis was about to be guilty by association.

And the names this time around are just as absurd, with monikers like “J.R. Junior Juniors Jr.” and “Strunk Nugget.” As an added bonus, the sketch highlights some actual football players with unorthodox names, such as Packers cornerback Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix and New York Giants star Prince Amukamara.
