• Carrie Donates Plaque To Oklahoma Music Hall Of Fame!

  Carrie has donated a plaque with lyrics and sheet music to "I Ain't in Checotah Anymore" to the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, which she joined earlier this year. The plaque was unveiled Thursday (Nov. 19) at a ceremony in Muskogee, Okla. The organization also announced plans to expand the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and to create an Oklahoma Music Trail for tourists to learn about the state's historical contributions to all genres of music.

  Jennifer has been in Chicago lately, preparing for her upcoming Home For the Holidays TV special, airing in December on ABC! The special will follow Jennifer back to her roots, to her hometown, her church, and back to the high school music room where she told her teachers, “I’m going to be a famous singer.” A local ABC station in Chicago got some video of her hanging out in Chi-town and performing at her old high school for some lucky students.   When American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, tweeted that she wasn’t feeling well a few days ago, I figured it was just a case of her catching some bug that would be gone in a few days but the poor girl was far sicker than that! She tweeted that she needed prayer and then wrote this: “Was struck w/ acute appendicitis…took out that appendix last night. Recovering today & the next week or so.” She’s been updating that she’s still sore but recovering while she also thanks all of her well-wishes for their warm thoughts.  She looks absolutely adorable in this twitpic image…

  Self.com put up a video of American Idol finalist, Kellie Pickler, performing at the Country Music Hall of Fame last week.  I loved that it was acoustic since it really did feel personal and intimate.  Kellie was dressed down and relaxed so I think any of her fans would love the video.  Plus, she talked a little bit about the experience and about life as a performer.  Definitely check out this quick, but cute, video!
